In theory, Valentine’s Day is a day (or few!) to set aside for your most loved and cherished and spoil them until they’re sick! In reality, with the busy hustle and bustle of life, setting aside a few days at this time of year just isn’t plausible.
Fear not, because I’ve got five fantastic day activities that will be your Valentines yet!
Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium, London, UK
A definite must for the cat lover in your life is London’s premium.
Located in Shoreditch this quirky two-storey café and its feline frequenters have been delighting customers for years! Due to its popularity, booking is a must, and you can add on extras to make your beaus V-Day that much more special!
You and your date can enjoy Colour-in with Cats (£10 per-person), a guided Knitting Evening (in the company of the cats, of course), and for an extra-special Valentines the pair of you can indulge in Lady Dinah’s bespoke Valentine’s Day High Tea (£70 for 2 people).

Make Your Own Perfume: Nationwide/London/Manchester/Birmingham
Never know what scents your significant other prefers? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there! This tricky dilemma can leave some of us stuck on Valentine’s Day, but why not turn the tables and take it one step further by taking that special someone to one of The Perfume Studios creation sessions?
Their existing blends have been years in creation by their Master Perfumer, created from the world’s finest ingredients. The Studios Perfume Stylists will teach you the ropes, and help you create your own signature fragrances together! Not only is this a fantastic experience, but whenever you or your loved one douses the perfume, you’ll be reminded of each other!
Looking a little further afield? What could be better than the classic daytrip to Paris! From chocolate touring and tasting to hot air balloon rides with a class of bubbly, this is a classic romantic gesture sure to get pulses racing and hearts thudding. I think this one is especially lovely if you and your better half are in the first few years of your relationship. Why not be cliché and visit Paris on Valentine’s Day? That being said, if you’re looking for something for a little further into your relationship (think, marriage) then why not renew your vows? An oldie, but a goodie!
Rowhill Grange Utopia Spa, Kent, UK
Another classic, but not your usual spa retreat. This gorgeous luxury spa boasts Roman-inspired décor, complete with two floors of pools, a delightful bubble tub, and (of course!) sauna and steam rooms – you’ll understand why it’s called Utopia! I think this is a perfectly unique
experience for you and your significant other – it’s a spa day neither of you will forget!
Thames Rocket Speed Boating, London
For those in the business of adrenaline, I think Thames Rocket Speed Boating is the perfect out there experience for couples this Valentine’s! With several packages to choose from, no doubt you’ll find something for you and your thrill-seeking lover to enjoy! Boasting views of over 20 London landmarks and sights, this is one London attraction that goes above and beyond the usual sight-seeing! What better way to wow your other half than with an exciting and exhilarating way to see London?
