Amazing BBQ Pork Ribs Receipe

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 2 hours

This is one of my all time favourite BBQ foods!  I hope you like it as much as I do!




4 pounds pork spareribs

1 cup brown sugar

¼ cup rum

¼ cup ketchup

½ cup chilli sauce

¼ cup soy sauce

2 cloves garlic, crushed

¼ Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dry Colman’s Mustard

1 dash ground black pepper

Sprig of rosemary Chopped chives

½ teaspoon mild chilli powder

½ teaspoon All Spice

3 teaspoons of Hoisin sauce


Preheat oven to 350 degrees (175 degrees c). Cut the spareribs into size serving portions, wrap in double thickness foil, and bake for 1 ½ hours.  Unwrap, and drain then place the ribs in a large roasting pan.

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauces, Worcestershire Sauce, rum, chilli sauce, chilli powder, garlic, hoisin sauce, all spice mustard, chives, rosemary and pepper.



Coat ribs with the sauce and marinate at room temperature for 2 hours or refrigerate overnight.

Preheat the grill or fire up your BBQ. Place ribs on a rack four inches above the heat source.

Brush grill grate with oil. Place ribs on the grill rack and cook for 20-30 minutes basting with the delicious marinade.
