Experience Diving in its purest form with the AQUA LUNG OUTLAW BCD.

I have partnered with Aqua Lung – a company with 75 years experience in developing world class scuba diving equipment.

My article is about it’s newest BCD (Buoyancy Control Device), ‘Outlaw’.

Who is it designed for?

This BCD is designed for the expert diver who appreciates a minimalist approach to diving. It’s also perfect for divers who travel as they are lightweight and easy to pack.

The ‘Outlaw’ is a completely modular buoyancy control device, with separate shoulder straps and waist bands available in a variety of sizes, all of which connect to a soft, minimal backpack.

How does it work?

The new, unique ModLock™ connector system allows the user to select shoulder straps and a waist band that is specific to them, creating up to 27 different size configurations for a truly personalised fit. The ModLock™ connectors can be disconnected with almost any tool—a key or pen does the job, perfect for off-grid dives when resources are limited.

The Benefits?

The Outlaw BCD  is super-cool, streamlined and lightweight modular BCD and it’s the first of its kind on the market.

With the smallest dive bladder on the market, the Outlaw weighs in at just 4lb and is the epitome of minimalist diving. It pairs comfort with function that attracts divers looking for that “naked” feel.

A Video Review

Take a peak at this short video produced by Simply Scuba to find out more about this light-weight and travel friendly BCD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nmu_Y4mbwdw

The cost?

It’s £335 which in comparison to other BCD’s on the market is great value.

Aqua Lung has been very kind and they have given me my very own Outlaw BCD to use while on my scuba press trips coming up sat the end of the year with OBLU Hotel and ScubaSpa in the Maldives.
