The three-star Ibis Styles Dale Street hotel is the perfect place to stay. It’s located in the commercial district of Liverpool, just a few minutes’ walk from the sights of Liverpool and only ten minutes walking distance to catch a Fred Olsen ship if you’re going on a longer break overseas.
I loved the vibrant city awash with party revellers and all the history about The Beatles and the docks. The shopping was also excellent. Of course, the swinging sixties have been brought back to life in the centre of Liverpool and the Ibis Hotel has joined in the action.
It’s warm, friendly and modern. It’s buzzy and attracts the younger crowd which I presume is down to its modern décor and affordable room rate.
Each of the 123 modern bedrooms are decorated and themed using the lyrics from The Beatle’s most famous songs and playfully weaves them into rooms. I stayed in the Lucy In The Sky room on the seventh floor giving me fantastic views of the city. The rooms are clean, warm and welcoming with a big comfortable bed, flat screen TV and a practical bathroom – offering everything you need for an enjoyable stay.
The continental breakfast was fabulous. You can choose from delicious pastries, pancakes, hams, cheese and break. There are freshly squeezed heath juices and hot drinks are available from the restaurant area all day free of charge.
