Nestled among the beautiful Scottish Border countryside at Peebles, you can’t help to be impressed and instantly relaxed. This place offers the best in Scotland when it comes to a spa experience. It seems to be Scotland’s destination spa.
Cruising up the long sweeping drive way, you spot in the distance Stobo Castle & Spa, winner of The Good Spa Guide only last year. Sadly I only had the evening to spare while touring the Scottish highlands but I was definitely in need of some R&R! Luckily Stobo Castle and Spa accommodates non-residents and offers an excellent evening package for use of all the facilities including the gym from 6pm – 10pm, at just £30. RESULT!
On arrival I popped into the Ladies Rest Room. Or was it? I thought I’d entered the VIP of room of The Ivy. They are the most luxurious in the UK. Not only is there a chatting area, all decked out with gorgeous comfy seating and the best interior linings all over, but there’s marble sinks and loos which deliver jets to wash your lady area with all kinds of settings….I was there for ages!
So after an hour in the gym, lots of swimming, steaming and relaxing in the outdoor hot tub (of which there are four large ones to choose from overlooking the Scottish hills), I was ready for my next Scottish adventure.
Stobo Castle & Spa is definitely worth a longer stop over than I sadly had time for. There are some great residential packages with lots of options to indulge!
All residential packages include all meals from dinner to departure, unlimited used of the health suites and spa facilities and an extensive range of optional fitness and aqua classes. There are also guided walks including the Japanese Gardens.
I give this the thumbs up!

Kate paid £60 for two people to attend the evening spa session & paid for drinks, sandwiches and snacks for the evening meal.
